International packaging company DS Smith has promoted Graham Taylor, its former North Europe region marketing and communications manager, to corporate affairs director, UK & Ireland.
Taylor announced his new role in a post on LinkedIn at the end of January. He stated: “I’ll be partnering with our leadership team and colleagues across the business to deliver a clear and purposeful communications agenda, strengthening our reputation, supporting employee engagement, and building trusted relationships across the UK & Ireland.”
Taylor added: “I’ll also be leading our government and policy engagement work and helping the business anticipate and navigate external risks.”
Prior to joining DS Smith in 2020, he spent 15 years at international skin care company Beiersdorf, where he held a series of marketing roles. He previously held positions including research and insight manager at Golden Wonder, account director at Nielsen, and assistant brand manager at Halfords.
Taylor’s LinkedIn profile states that he is a “versatile, analytical and accomplished senior marketing professional who excels in developing and executing innovative strategies which deliver sustainable sales and profitability, and which support the continued growth of major brands”.
It adds: “I add value to any organisation through my natural flair for relationship building, by modelling best practice in all activities, and by effectively engaging and developing others.”
